Why don't people listen to you when you tell them a good band or movie or book or food they'll like

And then they just you know and it's like you'd really like Sunset Rubdown I promise or why don't you check out this movie I know Wes Anderson isn't the greatest director but boy Rushmore's good

And some people are like well this totally sucks how can you like this crap dude these bands, these artists you listen to are just trying to be different they aren't actually good you know

Chelsea is cool, and Cory seems like he knows what he's talking about too (never actually met the guy though).
